Loanplaced privacy policy

One‑page summary. Loanplaced collects the information required to place your loan (identity, contact, income, credit). We share it only with the specific lenders you request quotes from. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising by third parties. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Loanplaced collects the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: name, email, phone, address, date of birth, Social Security number (with your consent, only for a specific application).
  • Financial: income, employment, debts, credit report data, bank account (for direct deposit).
  • Property: address of property, appraised value (for mortgage applications only).
  • Device & usage: IP address, browser, pages visited, referral source.

3. How Loanplaced uses your information

  • To match you with vetted lender partners and place your loan.
  • To verify your identity and prevent fraud.
  • To communicate with you about your application.
  • To improve Loanplaced services (in aggregate, non‑identifying form).
  • To comply with legal obligations (BSA/AML, ECOA, Reg B, FCRA, GLBA).

4. Who Loanplaced shares information with

  • Lender partners you request quotes from. Only these lenders, only for underwriting.
  • Credit bureaus. Experian, Equifax, TransUnion — for soft and, upon acceptance, hard credit inquiries.
  • Service providers. Cloud infrastructure, identity verification, document e‑signature. Bound by confidentiality.
  • Regulators. Only when required by law.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with data brokers. Advertising cookies, if any, are limited to Loanplaced's own remarketing and can be disabled — see our cookie policy.

5. Data retention

Loanplaced retains loan application records for seven years as required by federal and state financial regulations. You can request earlier deletion of data not subject to a retention obligation.

6. Your rights

Depending on your state (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others), you have rights to:

  • Access the personal information Loanplaced holds about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete information not subject to a retention obligation.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Loanplaced does not sell, but this right is preserved).
  • Non‑discrimination for exercising these rights.

7. Security

Loanplaced uses TLS 1.3 in transit, AES‑256 at rest, and SOC 2 Type II audited infrastructure. Access is role‑based and logged. Employees complete quarterly security training. Security incident disclosures: [email protected].

8. Children

Loanplaced does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Our services are not directed at minors.

9. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be announced with 30 days' notice via email to registered users and a banner on loanplaced.com. Historical versions of this policy are archived and available on request.
